In a letter “To the Stockholders of Steinway & Sons”, dated with this day, Samuel and Theodore Chapin – the young twin sons of Elizabeth Steinway, (younger sister of Henry Z. Steinway and John H. Steinway) – refute the statement that the younger generation of Steinway family has no interest in pianomaking. In the letter, they accuse their uncle Henry Z. Steinway of being “unenthusiastic” about their apprenticeship at Steinway & Sons factory.
