  • The management of General Aircraft Corporation informs Theodore E. Steinway that the glider project will soon be closed. Steinway & Sons has to find another way to remain in business, and in the meantime “stretch out the glider program until such time as a decision may be reached”.
  • Theodore E. Steinway, devastated by another blow to his business, suffers from depression and lacks energy to search for any new contract. Roman de Majewsky, Edwin B. Orcutt, and Alexander Greiner brainstorm, trying to find a solution.
