  • Knut Grotrian makes a deal with The Rudolph Wurlitzer Company to sell Grotrian-Steinweg pianos in the United States. Steinway & Sons immediately sues Grotrian-Steinweg in New York court. (The case will drag on until 1975, and Steinway & Sons will finally win.)
