- Steinway & Sons factory in Hamburg, Germany celebrates its 125th Anniversary.
- A 125th Anniversary Steinway & Sons grand piano is introduced during the ceremony. The piano has been designed by Count Albrecht von Goertz, the celebrated creator of one of the world’s most famous sports cars: BMW 507.
- Virtuoso pianist Lang Lang, a 23-year-old Chinese-born Steinway Artist, performs during the 125th Anniversary concert.
