William Steinway’s diary: “Cablegram from Holwede that Paderewski will sail from Liverpool Decbr. 14/92 pr. Teutonic, and that Hamburg sends a piano to Liverpool for him for use on ship board.” As is clear from this diary entry, Paderewski has postponed the starting date of his second American tour to December, to give his arm and finger time to recuperate.
