Steinway & Sons hires a new general manager, Sanford G. Woodard, a nuclear industry quality control expert with Master degree in Business Administration, and experience in strategic planning at General Electric. He has played accordion before, and began to take piano lessons shortly before taking the job at Steinway & Sons.
