North Beach amusement park is lit for the first time with electricity from William Steinway’s power plant. All the hotels, saloons, waterways, rides and walkways are lit by hundreds of electric lights. (It’s hardly a coincidence that nowadays the Con Edison power plant, adjacent to Steinway & Sons factory, provides electricity for the entire borough of Queens.)
