After Paderewski’s recurrent complaints of heavy action in his piano that resulted first in swelling of his right hand and then in hand injury (torn tendons) during the concert in Rochester, New York, the action of his piano is completely reassembled. (As a result of his injury, Paderewski will never fully recover the use of the fourth finger on his right hand).
