The last entry in William Steinway’s diary: “Drive in forenoon to L.K. where Jubilee Committee is assemb-led. I stil feel tired and jaded and let Julius Hoffmann preside. Return to St. Hall at 1 P.M. Tritsch, Mason, John Lavine+ George Wison of Pittsburgh call. Work till 9 P.M. then drive home. I still eat little, having no appetite 10 o’clock”.
