C.F. Theodor Steinweg writes to his brothers in New Yok that a successful piano dealer Georg Friedrich Karl Grotrian has agreed to invest 15,000 thalers in C.F. Theodor’s pianomaking business, in return of one third of the profits. C.F. Theodor Steinweg intends to hire 30 workers.
