New York Times reports that Steinway & Sons workers have gone on strike. The strikers demand that William Steinway fire Adolph Sommer, Steinway & Sons bookkeeper, who “interfered with their work, was very close about paying them, and took other actions calculated to ingratiate himself into the favor of his employer at their expense.” The strike will continue for nine weeks.
