• Steinway & Sons factory in New York announces that the Model O will return to production, replacing the Model L.

• Steinway & Sons unveils the Henry Z. Steinway Limited Edition piano to commemorate the 91st birthday of Henry Z. Steinway and the enduring contribution of four generations of the Steinway family to the world of music. Additionally, Steinway & Sons builds 91 Model Os and 91 Model Bs during that year.

• After 52 years, Steinway-Haus Hamburg moves from the Colonnaden to Rondenbarg 15, and is now situated opposite to the Steinway & Sons’ Hamburg factory.
